Planning “Pandora – The World of AVATAR”

INTRO:
So I’m excited to share that I was able to secure my hotel reservations for Memorial Day weekend at Walt Disney World. This year Animal Kingdom will be the opening a new themed area called Pandora. Hemmed after the movie Avatar, this new world is to host two rides, new dining options, and more.

RESORT:
This trip will be spent at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. It would be our second time staying at this resort this year. I love this resort, its simply the least “Disney” of all the resorts. When you stay at Coronado you can visit “The Lost City of Cibola“, an ancient Mexican themed pool, with an amazing slide, campfire, and bar, all within feet of the crystal clear pool.

DINING:
This time around, we are going with the Deluxe Dining Plan, we wanted to see how the deluxe dining plan would compare with the regular dining plan. So far we have 7 dining reservations, still deciding if we want an early or late lunch. But for a quick overview, we are wanting to go back to some of our favorites, i.e. Teppan Edo (Epcot), Tusker House (Animal Kingdom), and Chef Micky’s Brunch (Contemporary Resort).

ATTRACTIONS:
Two new rides that I am so excited for are The Na’Vi River Journey and Avatar Flight of Passage. Both are based in the new Pandora World inside Animal Kingdom. For the Na’Vi River Journey should be a calm water journey along the pandora river. For the avatar flight of passage, According to WDW News Today,  it looks like passengers will be sitting on top of a banshee. Its hard to say exactly what they ride will be like, but I am so excited to share the experiences with you.
